Aaron Gillespie seems to have had a positive reaction to his winter in Australia and the Strabane all-rounder was at the top of his game on Sunday as his side booked their place in the quarter finals of the National Cup with a win over Cregagh.

The Red Caps have twice been drawn away to NCU opposition in this competition but ground availability issues have forced first Cliftonville and now Sunday's opponents to travel to the Park with Barry Scott's men winning both matches.

Gillespie was the difference between the teams at the weekend as he smacked 13 fours and 8 sixes in a superb 145. Kevin Pretorius chipped in with 29 in a total of 244 for 7 with Graham Hazard and Adam Skelton claiming two wickets each for the Belfast outfit.

Cregagh rarely threatened after that- 41 from Adam McCormack, 30 from Aaron Johnston and 25 from Mark Johnston the best of their 131.

Pretorius and Khushpal Singh shared 6 wickets Strabane won by 114 runs.
