The NCU have unveiled their Under 13 squad which will participate in the Irish interpro's as well as a ground-breaking tour of England.

The tour to Ipswich, England, will take place from the Monday 26th to Thursday 29th of June, followed by the Irish Inter-Provincial series in Dublin from the Monday 3rd to Wednesday 5th of July.

The strength of Waringstown and Instonians is reflected in the squad's composition, each having four representatives.

Sam Allister, Matthew Daly, Stuart McCollam and Sam Topping - who scored a century in the 2016 Under 11 interpro series - are the Waringstown players involved.

Rory Ellerby, Adam Kennedy, Adam Ly and James Rose are the Shaw's Bridge club representatives.

Matthew Cherry (CSNI), Alex Darrah (Templepatrick), Cameron Doak (Lisburn), Matthew Halliday (Derriaghy), and Carson McCullough (CIYMS) complete the line-up.

"On behalf of the coaches and the U13's squad I would like to thank all parents for the support they have shown to the winter programme in recent months," said NCU Coach Callum Atkinson.

"We empathise with the commitment and dedication travelling to the University of Ulster at Jordanstown on a weekly basis. Can I also congratulate and thank the group of Under 13 boys who have trained very hard over the winter months.

"The work that has been put in will benefit the group as we lead up to our tour of Ipswich and then into the Inter-Provincial series in Dublin.

"After working with this group over the winter, I am confident leading into the summer however, I also understand that we have more work and learning to do before the end of June."
