Day three saw Zambia up against Ghana, Nigeria against Botswana and Mozambique playing Swaziland.

Zambia lost the toss and was forced to bat on a colder morning than the last two days. This proved to be a good tactic from Ghana as they did well to restrict Zambia to 142 all out. Zambia got off to a decent start again today with the first wicket falling at 54 but 3 quick wickets caused problems at 64/4. A good 5th wicket partnership helped Zambia recover.

The trouble started early for Ghana with wickets falling quickly and were bowled out for 40 in just 11.2 overs. Sharif Yousuf of Zambia ripped through the batting side with bowling figures of 6/11 in just 5.2 overs and took Zambia to victory.

Nigeria won the toss and decided to bat. Once again Nigeria relied on their lower and middle order to help them to a respectable 203 for 9 in 50 overs, after being 40/4 at drinks. Pick of the batsmen was, Tempitope Olayinka with 40*helped Nigeria recover to a defendable total.

Botswana's opening bowlers were up for the task each claiming to early wickets, pity for the Botswana team as the others just could not restrict Nigeria. The clash of the big teams lived up to all expectations as it went down to the wire. Botswana applied themselves in the correct manner with the bat and with each of the batsmen contributing they won the game in 44.5 overs with losing just 5 wickets. Top scorer was Shah Khan with 43 from 28 balls. A good all round team performance took Botswana to victory and puts them at the top of the points table.

Mozambique batted first after winning the toss and put on a solid 243/7 in 50 overs. Pick of the batsmen being Malik Khuram Javid who scored 68 from 103 balls. Swaziland's bowling attack showed signs of improvement and generally bowled good lines and lengths. Opening bowler, Idrisbhai Patel who took 4/47 in 10 overs was the bowler of the innings.

Swaziland batted for 40 overs putting on 144 all out. It was a good fight for them as they are showing they can with stand good bowling attacks. 41 off 77 balls from by A,Nicolas proved to be the best batsmen of the Swaziland innings. Mis Younus's bowling of 3/17 was the best performance with the ball. Javid's 68 gave him man of the match.
