Bahamas players suspended
We reported three weeks ago in our weekly round-up on a fight that broke out during a Bahamas league match in mid-May between St Agnes and Castrol Commonwealth that saw St Agnes players throw rocks at the Castrol Commonwealth players, injuring one player and one spectator.
The latest news on the issue is that four of the players involved in the incident are to be suspended for between three and five years. Bahamas Cricket Association (BCA) president Greg Taylor is not releasing the names of the players concerned as they are currently going through the appeals process.
Taylor was keen to point out that aside from this altercation, the current season has been going well, and has advised local cricket fans that they can feel safe attending matches at Windsor Park.
