Saudi Arabia were easily the best team in this tournament, and they showed why with a relatively easy win over Bhutan in the final yesterday.

Batting first, the Saudis built their innings around Hussain Anwar, who scored 62 in the Saudis total of 247 before they were bowled out two balls short of their quota. Dilip Subba and Thinley Jamtsho both took three wickets for Bhutan.

Bhutan should have been able to mount some sort of challenge to that total, but their batting line-up has been rather fragile throughout the tournament, and only Manoj Adhikari (38) and Thinley Jamtsho (26) got any sort of start as Bhutan were bowled out for 188 to give the Saudis a 59 run win. Ejaz Sagheer was the pick of the Saudi bowlers with 4/23.

Saudi Arabia will now be promoted to the Elite Division of the ACC Under-19 Cup, to be held at a later date. In Friday's third place play-off, China again lost heavily, this time by 155 runs to the Maldives.
