Canada beat Namibia A by 6 wickets in a warm-up game in Windhoek on Tuesday (October 23). The Namibians made 271 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 50 overs, spearheaded by Craig Williams' 132 runs (off 156 balls, 16x4, 1x6). Sunil Dhaniram took 3 wickets for 53 runs in ten overs.

Canada responded with 274 runs for 4 wickets off 44 overs. Trevin Bastiampillai (46 runs) and Qaiser Ali added 100 runs for the 3rd wicket. Ali and Arvind Kandappah kept the score moving before Ali fell for 73 runs. Kandappah and skipper Dhaniram shared an unbroken stand of 105 runs to see Canada to success. Kandappah was 62 runs not out and Dhaniram 58 runs not out when victory was achieved.

Canada plays Namibia in the ICC Intercontinental Cup match, scheduled for 4 days, starting on Thursday (October 25).
