Uganda have lost to Bangladesh in quite a close Twenty20 match in Nairobi.

Batting first, Bangladesh made 145/5 from their 20 overs, Mashrafe Mortaza top-scoring with 40 from just 20 balls. Emmanuel Isaneez and Joel Olwenyi took two wickets each for Uganda. Uganda's top-order lost their wickets early, but the middle order, led by 46 from skipper Olwenyi, recovered, and an upset looked to be on the cards.

But it wasn't to be and Uganda were left needing 35 from the final over. Abdur Razzak took two wickets from the final two deliveries to leave Uganda 21 runs short on 124/9.

Uganda thus finish third in the tournament ahead of hosts Kenya. It has been a much better than expected tournament for them, and despite their loss today, they performed with some credit, especially as they were missing a few players from their World Cricket League Division Three squad.
