Rain devastated the final round of group matches in the European Championship Division Three tournament in Belgium today, even more so than on Monday.

Rain caused the complete abandonment of Spain v Portugal, Belgium v Malta and the Isle of Man v Cyprus, but fortunately it stayed away from Gent, where Croatia took on Finland.

Croatia batted first and were doing well on 128/1 at one point, with both John Vujnovich and Christopher Pivac scoring 47. But wickets then fell like a house of cards and they were bowled out for 167, Timo Ilva taking 5/13. Finland's batting was even worse than the Croatian middle and lower orders, with only two batsmen reaching double figures, and four dismissed for ducks as they were bowled out for 87, giving Croatia an 80 run win.

Croatia's win means that they will play Malta in the semi-final. This will be the first time these two nations have met, whilst the other semi-finalists, Spain and the Isle of Man, met in a two match series last year, both matches being comprehensively by the Manxmen.

Hosts Belgium will play Finland, with Cyprus meeting Portugal in the 5th place semi-finals.
