At Grainville in Jersey yesterday, Guernsey beat the Isle of Man by 74 runs to set up a decider against their long-time rivals Jersey for the European Under-19 Division Two title.

Guernsey were put into bat by the Isle of Man, and reached 216/8 from their 50 overs, Peter Le Hegarat top scoring with 45. It was a low target that the Manxmen should have reached with ease. But Guernsey's Thomas Kirk had other ideas and he ripped through the Isle of Man batting order with 5/20, the equal best bowling in the tournament so far, to dismiss them for 142, Guernsey winning by 74 runs.

In the 4th-6th place group, Israel bounced back from their defeat to Gibraltar with a low-scoring three run win over Belgium. Belgium's Shalin Shah took 4/11 as Israel were bowled out for 106. Solomon Varsulkar dismissed the upper Belgian order with 4/19, but Belgium still looked to be cruising at 93/7, before three quick wickets left them out for 103.

Germany secured 7th place with a comprehensive 198 run win over France. Germany's Tarun Rawat put in another fine all-round performance with 68 and 3/16. France and Italy will now play off for 8th place today.
