Day two of the European Under-19 Division Two Championship saw Gibraltar reunited with their kit as they beat Italy, the Isle of Man beat Israel in their debut at this level, and Belgium v Guernsey fall victim to the rain.

At Farmers Field, Gibraltar, finally reunited with their kit, played Italy. They won the toss and chose to bat, and crawled to 153/7 from their 50 overs, Scott Chipolina top scoring with 53. Whilst Italy had been set a low target, some fine bowling from Robert Skinner (5/28) and Akhil Viz (4/33) meant that they got nowhere near, losing their last 8 wickets for less than 30 runs as they were bowled out for 113 in the 38th over, Gibraltar winning by 40 runs.

Israel have traditionally been strong at this level, so when the debuting Isle of Man but them into bat, they would have been hoping to put on a big score. But Daniel Kniveton had other ideas, taking 5/20 as Israel only reached 151/8 from their 50 overs. The run chase wasn't an easy won for the Manxmen though, as they lost seven wickets on their route to the target with just seven balls remaining. Danile Kniveton was the top scorer with an unbeaten 35 to cap off a good day for him.

Whilst the other matches in this tournament have so far avoided the rain that has been battering much of the British Isles recently, the Belgium v Guernsey match at Les Quennevais did not escape it. Guernsey were on 130/3 when the game was finally called off.
