On Monday the CCA Selectors unveiled the 13-man squad that will contest the matches in this summer's home international schedule. The schedule includes 4-day Intercontinental Cup matches against the Netherlands (June 28-July 1) and the United Arab Emirates (July 6-9), as well as 2 ODIs against the Netherlands, to be played on July 3rd and 4th.

The squad sees somewhat of a youth movement being initiated, driven in large part by the retirements of George Codrington and Anderson Cummins, who had seen action in the previous year's play. A notable absence is that of now-former captain John Davison, who was not selected, as well as Ian Billcliff who is unavailable for this set of matches.

Ashish Bagai returns in his busy role as batsman, wicket-keeper, and captain, though he may relinquish his wicketkeeping duties to Ashif Mulla. Two new faces appear on the team: batsman Shehzad Afzal from British Columbia, and Ashish Patel, a bowler from Quebec. Steve Welsh gets another try as the third pace option, behind the usual duo of Henry Osinde and Umar Bhatti.

On a whole, the squad sees seven Ontario-based players, four from British Columbia, and two from Quebec.
