The CCA today revealed their 15-man squad that will travel to the West Indies to play in the Cricket World Cup beginning in March. The squad is quite similar to the one that competed in the recently completed World Cricket League Division I in Kenya, and sees the return of two top batsmen in Geoff Barnett and Ian Billcliff. John Davison returns as captain, while Ashish Bagai will take on a new leadership role as vice-captain of the side.

As has been the norm for Canada recently, the squad is a mix of youth and experience, which can be seen as either good or bad depending on your viewpoint. The majority of the players come from Ontario, with four hailing from BC and just one from Quebec.

Canada's pre-tournament schedule consists of a brief tri-series against Bermuda and Bangladesh in Antigua, and warm-up matches against Ireland and Pakistan in Trinidad. Their World Cup schedule includes Kenya, England, and New Zealand.
