Congratulations are extended to Paul Baldwin who had been appointed as Editor of 'How's That' the house magazine of the Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (ACUS).
33 year-old Paul only started umpiring in 2000 but has progressed rapidly in his umpiring career to become one of the six members of the ICC Associate and Affiliate International Panel.
Paul is based in Germany and regularly travels hundreds of miles to officiate in club matches and also further afield for ECC tournaments.
Paul stood in the Netherlands v Kenya ICC Intercontinental Cup Semi final in Windhoek in October 2005. Early in 2006 he took part in the ICC Under 19 World Cup in Sri Lanka and travelled to Nairobi in March for the Intercontinental Cup match between the Netherlands and Kenya.
His busy 2006 schedule continued with umpiring at the Senior European Championships in Glasgow and the Under 19 tournament based in Belfast.
Paul works as a Public Relations Officer for the British Forces in Germany and currently produces a monthly magazine that has a large readership and is published as far as Afghanistan.
As a member of ACUS Paul believes it is important to be actively involved in its activities and was keen to assist when the Editorship recently became vacant.
