In Namibia's three day game against Gauteng, Namibia batted first and reached 259. Gauteng made much better use of the pitch and scored 414/7 before declaring. Heinrich le Roux top-scored for them with an unbeaten 117 as Namibia used nine bowlers. A 107 run second wicket partnership between Tatenda Taibu and skipper Louis Burger looked set to keep Namibia's second innings on track, but the rest of the batting order collapsed and Namibia could only reach 250. This set Gauteng a target of 96, which they knocked off in just 19 overs.

In the one-day game, Gauteng batted first and reached 207. Namibia started badly, losing their first two wickets for just one run. But Louis Burger and Tatenda Taibu again put on a big partnership, adding 141 before Burger was out for 69. This time the rest of the batting order held on and the target was reached from the last ball of the innings, Taibu remaining unbeaten on 95.
