Government to get involved in contract dispute
The Bermudian government is to step in to help deal with the ongoing contract dispute in the country. Sports Minister Dale Butler has said he is disappointed to hear about the impasse, and it appears that the government has been asked to intervene by the players themselves. A statement forwarded by one of the local law firms representing some of the players said, "Some of the players are now discussing the possibility of calling on the Department of Youth and Sport to intervene and help settle the dispute"
Meanwhile Dale Butler said to the Royal Gazette, "Time is running out and this matters must be resolved as quickly as possible. We are looking at our options and will announce them as soon as we are officially contacted."
Bermuda's next match is their Intercontinental Cup game against Kenya on the 5th of November.
