Myanmar gets its own ground
The Myanmar Cricket Federation has adopted a ground in Yangon (Rangoon) dedicated to cricket.
Two practice wickets have been installed, as well as a central wicket for match play. Practice is certainly needed for Myanmar after their abject performance in the ACC Trophy in August. Their next international engagement will be for the Under 15 side in the ACC Under 15 Challenge Cup in December in Thailand.
Roger Binny, the ACC Development Office for Myanmar is confident that Myanmar has a future in international cricket, telling the ACC's website, 'The Myanmar children are keen to play the game and will improve over the years with some proper guidance. There is a lot of interest among the girls and women's cricket could really take off here."
