The MCC have remained unbeaten on their tour to China and Hong Kong. The tour started in Beijing with a game between two sides made up of the MCC and the best Chinese players. The MCC/China A team beat the MCC/China B team by 24 runs. The Beijing leg of the tour then concluded with a 122 run win over a United Beijing XI.

The mainland China part of the tour finished with a 196 run win over Shanghai United, but not before the MCC paid a visit to the Great Wall of China.

Much stiffer opposition awaited the MCC in Hong Kong, but they still remained unbeaten. A match against Hong Kong cricket club saw a seven wicket win for the tourists, and they beat the Hong Kong Cricket Association by 4 wickets the following day. The tour then ended with a Twenty20 game against a HKCA Under 19 side, the MCC winning by 36 runs.

A successful tour results wise for the MCC, but the mainland China leg of the tour was more about promoting cricket than the competitive aspect. In that regard, time will tell if that aspect of the tour has also been successful.
