China's women have made their international debut in a sixes match against Scotland in Shanghai. Scotland won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 87. Fiona Urquhart top scored with 32 before retiring. Excellent bowling by Kathryn White restricted China to just 28, to give Scotland a 59 run win.

An old Chinese proverb says "A long march starts from the very first step." Will this be the first step on a long march to the top of women's cricket for China?
