The MCC, continuing their comitment to the game's devlopment around the world have sent touring sides on tours to China/Hong Kong and to Botswana/Zambia.

The tour to China will be the first for MCC, and the team will be captained by former England international Min Patel. After playing three matches in China (against Beijing University, United Beijing and Shanghai United) they move on to Hong Kong, playing against Hong Kong Cricket club, the Hong Kong Cricket Association, and a Twenty20 match against a HKCA Under 19 team.

The team travelling to Africa will be captained by former Gloucestershire player Stuart Barnes, and features two former England Test players in Richard Illingworth and Steve Rhodes. The MCC will play three games each against the national teams of Botswana and Zambia in addition to participating in a series of coaching clinics. The MCC will also donate $2,500 to the cricket associations of the two countries.
