Day One

The latest stage of the African regional qualifiers for the World Cricket League (which goes by four different names on the ICCs website) got underway with wins for the hosts and for Botswana.

Botswana made 192, but it would have been less had it not been for an unbeaten 102 from Noor Ahmad. They then dismissed Nigeria for 165. Tanzania had a much more impressive victory over qualifiers Mozambique, scoring 260/4 before dismissing their opponents for just 110.

Day Two

It was a day of low scores. When 5/20 from Kandela helped Zambia bowl out Botswana for just 99, they must have given themselves a good chance of winning. But it wasn't to be, as 5/2 from Kapoor dismissed them for 65 to give the Botswanans the 34 run win. In the other game, hosts Tanzania made themselves favourites for the tournament with a 111 run demoloition of Nigeria.
