Ardmore

  • Captain: Rachit Gaur
  • Overseas professional: none
  • Players in: Haydn Melly
  • Players out: Aviwe Mgijima
  • Young players to watch: Bobby Brolly, Conor King

It will be hard for Ardmore to replicate the success of last season, when they turned more than 100 years of heartbreak into a first Premiership crown.

Rachit Gaur has once again been entrusted with the captain's armband, and has more or less the same squad that triumphed last time out.

They have opted to not have an overseas professional this season, but will have the services of promising Irish passport holding South African Ciaran Roundtree.

Also making his way to the Bleachgreen is Haydn Melly, with the wicket-keeper batsman arriving from Brigade.

"Our peparation has been great," said Gaur. "Our process remains the same, so it’s all about implementation now.

"Two of our younger players worth keeping a close eye on are Conor King and Bobby Brolly - both of them had a busy winter, and they worked really hard on their game.

"Hayden and Ciaran’s inclusions are a great boost for the team and I hope they have a great season."

The club have continued to develop the facilities at the ground, and have plans for further improvements in the coming months ahead.
