Balbriggan

Players in: Sebastian De Oliveira, Ciaran Gray, Bhavesh Lakhotia

Players out: Matt Pollard, Waqar Azmat

It's been a successful few years for Balbriggan who went agonisingly close to winning the All-Ireland T20 Cup last season.

There hasn’t been too much movement at the club over the close season with only two players out and three players in.

“Like one or two other clubs, Balbriggan have decided to go without an overseas first class pro this year and have instead opted to bring over up and coming young South African all rounder Seb D’Oliveira, who has some friends in the club," said club spokesperson Adrian Harper.

"The league is as strong as ever and games are not easily won but we feel we have a good established squad who are improving every year and hopefully we will be as competitive as we have shown to be over the past couple of seasons.

"We will be missing Connor Fletcher for the first half but are hopeful his return from travelling in Australia won’t be too far away!

"We have had four players training regularly with Leinster Lightning so we hope this off-season training will give them an advantage to hit the ground running when the season begins.

"All in all, as a club we’re looking forward to season 24’ - work on our indoor training facility is going to begin over the coming weeks and we have been strengthened by some good young talent joining the club, and along with a good crop of committed youngsters we’re excited to see the progress of these young guys working their way up the ladder."
