The CIYMS attack was on the receiving end of two more pastings as they were beaten by defending champions Dreux of France and Jersey kingpins Old Victorians.

Dreux racked up an imposing 170 for 2 in their 10 overs, but to be fair to the NCU side they gave a good account of themselves in the chase.

Carson McCullough top-scored with 69 from just 22 balls (8 sixes), while Max Burton took 30 off an over. Despite their best efforts they ended on 160.

Their clash with OV saw international Jonty Jenner smash an unbeaten 120 from just 32 balls - hitting 14 of his side's 20 sixes in their daunting 198 for 1.

Chris Dougherty cleared the ropes eight times in a hard-hit 68, while skipper John Matchett's 39 not out at least ensured a bonus point for CIYMS on a tough day.

CIYMS cannot now finish in the top four to contest Finals Day and finish their group stage on Thursday with a match against Italian side Brescia.
