Former Irish international James Hall is returning to Waringstown for the new season.

The 35 year-old switched to Woodvale in 2021, but enjoyed a modest time in his three years at Ballygomartin Road.

However, he did save his best to last, scoring his one and only century in his final game - a relegation battle against Derriaghy.

Hall is the all-time record run scorer in Waringstown history, and his return to The Lawn will certainly boost a squad whose depth was severely tested at times last year due to international commitments.

The double cup winners may also have to contend without Morgan Topping - the young battered enjoyed a prolific 2023, with his haul of 1088 runs making him the favourite for the Club Player of the Year in next week's Cricket Ireland awards.
