Leg spinner Jacob Mulder has been released from his contract by the governing body by mutual consent.

The 23 year-old was one of 14 players given full-time contracts by Cricket Ireland in 2018, but hasn't featured in any of the 22 matches played by the senior international side this year.

Mulder did feature in the CIYMS side which captured the NCU Premier League trophy, and was a regular performer for the Northern Knights in the interpro series.

The Australian born player featured 14 times for his adopted country since his debut in 2016 against Hong Kong, taking 22 wickets at 23.86, while his best batting display was an unbeaten 38 against The Netherlands at Malahide, which was to be his last appearance for Ireland.

Mulder is reported to be returning to Australia to play club cricket.
