Ireland Wolves will play Bangladesh at The Hills ahead of the tourists tri-series against Ireland and Afghanistan.

The game is part of The Hills Golden Jubilee celebrations, with the fixture scheduled for May 5th at Milverton.

Cricket Ireland are keen for an increased fixture list at all levels, and this game fits the bill perfectly.

Ireland Wolves played both Bangladesh and New Zealand in warm-up matches head of a tri-series last year.

The lack of fixtures was highlighted by Ireland Head Coach Graham Ford during a weekend club day in Leinster, where he pointed out that someone like Andy Balbirnie, who was in attendance, had only 22 days meaningful cricket in 2018.

Ford pointed out that South African provincial cricketers had over 100 days, and that the lack of cricket was harming Irish cricket.

There are no plans at present for Afghanistan to play Ireland Wolves, but hopefully that will change.
