Newly promoted Lisburn have moved quickly to secure the services of Indian international all-rounder Faiz Fazal for the 2019 campaign.
The 33 year-old is a left-handed opening batsman, who has 16 first-class hundreds, averaging over 40 with the Vidarnha State team in India.
He is also an excellent right-arm medium fast bowler and should prove an excellent acquisition for Lisburn.
His consistent displays earned him international recognition in 2016, when he scored an unbeaten 55 on his debut against Zimbabwe.
Fazal is an experienced campaigner in UK conditions, playing in the Yorkshire, Cornwall and Liverpool Premier leagues over the past decade.
In 2017 he was the leading scorer in the Liverpool Premier League scoring five centuries on his way to 1036 runs at an average of 57.56.
Last season he showcased his all-round ability by taking 41 wickets at just 13.02 in the Cornwall Premier League.
A Lisburn CC spokesperson said: “We are pleased to announce Faiz Fazal as our overseas professional for the 2019 season.
"Faiz is an experienced opening batsman and medium pace bowler. He has played one ODI for India in 2016 and is current captain of his Ranji trophy first class team Vidarbha.
"He comes highly recommended by our contacts in India and his previous clubs and we look forward to welcoming Faiz to Lisburn as we look forward to our return to the Premier League.
"Thanks to Rob Humphries of WSX in facilitating the signing.”
