Irish umpire Mark Hawthorne will be officiating at the U19 World Cup in New Zealand later this month.

The 55 year-old Belfast man is one of 14 members of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires officiating in the tournament.

He joins Robert Bailey, Gregory Brathwaite, Anil Chaudhary, Nigel Duguid, Shaun George, Shaun Haig, Ranmore Martinesz, C.K. Nandan, Ahsan Raza, Shozab Raza, Tim Robinson, Langton Rusere and Paul Wilson.

Also David Odhiambo, Buddhi Pradhan and Ian Ramage from the ICC Development Panel will also be officiating in the tournament.

Jeff Crowe,  Dev Govindjee and David Jukes will be the match referees.

The tournament runs from January 13th until February 3rd.
