Ireland's scheduled ODI against the West Indies was abandoned today at Stormont without a ball being bowled.

Heavy overnight rain left the outfield sodden and despite the best efforts of the ground staff play was called off by on-field umpires Mark Hawthorne and Michael Gough at 1.30pm following a further downpour.

Ireland are next in action when they play Scotland in the ICC InterContinental Cup at the end of November.
