THE last two NCU finals take place on Saturday and the success of Laurelvale will force club members to divide their loyalties.
While the 2nd XI will start favourites against Muckamore IV in the Minor (Lindsay) Cup at Woodvale, at the same time Laurelvale host the Minor Qualifying Cup decider which happens to involve their 3rd XI who face Donaghcloney Mill III.
Donaghcloney have already confirmed promotion from Junior 7 but their only league defeat so far was by Laurelvale.
Laurelvale II, as joint league leaders, are well placed to win promotion to Junior 3 next year while Muckamore IV have won only five of their nine games in Junior 5. The Co Armagh side have been particularly impressive in the cup. After receiving a bye in the first round, they have lost only four wickets in the last three rounds after bowling out their opponents for less than 100.
