Instonians powered to victory in the Graham Cup final after an emphatic 9-wicket win over Lisburn at Wallace Park.

A superb bowling display saw the Shaw's Bridge youngsters restrict the home side to just 99 for 8 in their 30 overs with Adam Wylie (4-16), Hugo Ellerby (2-10) and Sam McLarnon (2-21) the wicket takers.

Lisburn's modest total was built around a second wicket stand of 71 in 18 overs between top scorer Cameron Doak (34) and Michael Glass (32) after the early loss of Nathan Doak.

Instonians wasted no time in chasing down the target with Oliver Metcalfe thumping 8 fours and 3 sixes in an unbeaten 67 from just 46 balls.

They did lose Matthew Humphries for 8 with the total on 27, but it was the only casualty as they won with 17 overs to spare - James Hunter supporting Metcalfe with 16 not out.
