TOUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE FOR EGLINTON YOUNGSTERS

The vagaries of life in the North West Qualifying divisions were cruelly exposed on Sunday when Eglinton 2nds were all out for just 5 runs against Bready in a re-arranged league game.

The villagers were struggling for first team players over the weekend due to holidays and work commitments and had to draft in several players from the 2nd XI but to their credit they opted to fulfill the Qualifying fixture nonetheless using young lads from the 3rds and boys' teams.

It turned out to be a real rout however; Dale McGonigle with figures of 4 for 0 including a hat-trick for the home side while Lee Kelly had 3 for 0.

Gregory McFaul conceded all 5 runs but also picked up 3 wickets before Bready needed just three deliveries to pass the target.
