North West Warriors Head Coach Ian McGregor has declared his hand ahead of his side's season opener in the Hanley Energy Interprovincial series at the Hills on Monday.

It's probably as strong a unit as the former Brigade batsman has access to at present given that few of the Premiership overseas players have arrived in the region as of yet.

One man definitely here is Bready's Iroosh Samarasooriya and the Sri Lankan gets the nod to travel south for the Bank Holiday contest.

As expected Niall O'Brien is in too although while the Ireland International looks set to take the gloves, McGregor has given Ricky-Lee Dougherty a clear vote of confidence by including him as well.

Steve Lazars has made no secret of his desire to play having moved to Coleraine over the winter and the all-rounder also features.

Beechgrove pair Andy Britton and Johnny Thompson are also in and that pair certainly give the Head Coach good options with both bat and ball.

Aaron Gillespie is named as well and it will be interesting to see how the Strabane youngster has developed for his winter of cricket in Australia.

Gary McClintock and David Rankin will both travel too with skipper Andy McBrine and fellow internationals Stuart Thompson and Craig Young completing the set.

Action gets under way at the Skerries venue at 10.45 as both the Warriors and the Knights bid to eat into the Leinster side's stranglehold on the series.
